The Cowboy and the City Kid: An Auto Glass Tale

Gavin Goodwin had spent his whole life under the wide-open Texas sky, a young marine riding horses and working cattle. He was tough, resourceful, and could fix just about anything with his hands. But when it came to business, well… that was another story. He knew auto glass, and he knew the hard work it took to make a living, but the idea of turning his skills into something bigger? That was a challenge he hadn’t yet figured out.

Brett Shouse, on the other hand, had grown up in metro Detroit area, where the hum of the Motor City never stopped. He wasn’t a cowboy, but he had ambition to build something bigger than himself. He had a knack for marketing, networking, and seeing opportunities where others saw obstacles.

The two met by chance, in the small city of Jackson, Michigan. Gavin had moved cross country to start a beautiful family, when he noticed a small crack in a windshield. Hungry, he pulls into a local sports bar for a bite to eat, where he meets a frustrated cook. Gavin reaches into his pocket, and hands Brett a business card. Soon the two got in contact over a black coffee at the local coffee shop downtown. Gavin knew how to replace glass, and Brett had a great Idea on how to sell the service in the local area.

By the time they finished their coffee, they had sketched out a plan on a napkin—Auto Glass Champions. Together they are starting to build something neither could do alone. Starting off as a small mobile company, bringing dedication to grit, craftsmanship, and sheer dedication to quality with affordable pricing. Gavin trained Brett his, perfected installation techniques, and turned each job into a testament to their name.
